RapidRight Prototype Program

To meet the cost considerations and time-to-market needs of OEMs, Memtron emphasizes its RapidRight Prototype service. This is a major initiative of our engineering resources to rapidly bring customer products to reality—and make them right the first time—without any tradeoffs of performance or quality.

Prototyping can be achieved in less than 2 weeks utilizing U.S.-based components, or within 4-6 weeks with Asian componentry. By addressing the areas of construction that have the greatest impact on a design schedule, we’ve intellectualized the process from end-to-end to maximize turnaround.

RapidRight Design Program
  • Concurrent design and approval process.
  • Components for the construction are developed based on lead time requirement.
  • Our approved supplier base subscribes to the same velocity-based manufacturing concepts.
  • Lean initiatives allow us to produce prototypes on production equipment so we are able to identify process / manufacturing improvements during the prototype process, instead of waiting until production launch.
  • The majority of our raw materials are on consignment to insure that the necessary build materials are here when customers need them.
  • Memtron utilizes lasers for prototype fabrication to diminish lead times and reduce our customer’s prototype investment, since elements of the design often change between prototype and production. This way, customers do not have to reinvest in tooling.
  • We can manufacture prototypes to meet customer needs and / or budget. From fully functional prototypes that can be tested for certification to digitally printed, optically laminated graphics for shows and displays — we have options to fit customer needs.
  • Full Team review prior to program launch. Our technical staff formally meets to kick off your program to ensure first time quality and on-time shipment.
  • New customers receive partial NRE rebate on new programs after $50k production PO is placed!
  • Our RapidRight goal: prototypes are designed and built within two weeks for U.S. sourced products, and in less than four weeks using our offshore-based partners.
