Memtrons Uni-Layer construction provides the
lowest cost solution available in membrane switch technology.
By consolidating all of the trace work onto a single
membrane layer, every trace can be terminated through
a single wiper ZIF or friction-fit connection.
Attributes - polyester membrane
- Suitable for switch applications with low key density
and/or generous spacing
- Actuation forces from 10 to 30 ounces depending
on dome size and spacer configuration
- Typical actuation forces are 15 +/- 3 ounces
- 2,000,000 actuation life expectancy
- Conducive to ring or full key embossing
- Single tail layer is ideal for ZIF or friction-fit
connectors
- Suitable for Polyester, Polycarbonate, and Elastomeric
overlays
- Operating temperature range of 40 to +85 C
and storage temperature range of 40 to +85 C
- Integration into both flex circuit and PCB constructions

Attributes - printed circuit board
- An efficient design for most keypad programs regardless
of key density
- Offers significant cost savings by combining a membrane
switch keypad and a printed circuit board into one
common assembly
- False entry is eliminated since the stainless steel
dome is in direct contact with the PCB circuitry
- A variety of stainless steel dome sizes and options
are available
- Actuation forces from 10 to 30 ounces depending
on dome size and spacer configuration
- Typical actuation forces are 15 +/- 3 ounces
- Suitable for Polyester, Polycarbonate, and Elastomeric
overlays
- 2,000,000 actuation life expectancy
- Conducive to ring or full key embossing
- Operating temperature range of 40 to +85 C
